Our film will appeal to a large audience as it follows the codes and conventions of a traditional psychological horror, however some parts will not always stick to the conventions of a typical horror film.
Typical conventions of a psychological horror are....
Spooky Settings

A typical spooky setting is normally a place that becomes allot scarier at night time and also usually as hardly any people around. Its normally misty and has lots of places for people to hide and also has lots of thinks that's could create shadows, for example trees and bushes.
They also consists of violent and gruesome deaths.
These death scenes are all done really well and contain allot of blood, They all show the killer and there emotion more then the actual victim. All these deaths would work well in our film as they all would be easy to film and could be done in a house. All the killers look like normal people but when they are killing the victims they start to look crazy and scary. All the victims are unsuspected of there murder and are going about there normal business.
A killer
There are two types of killers in films, There is the killer that you know who it is all way through the film, i believe this makes the film more psychological as you are a part of the film and know more then the actors do. there are also the killers, that who's identities stay hidden right till then end, i believe when films do this it makes the film more scary because you don't no what is going to happen.
To make our film more psychological the audience will know who the killer is from the beginning, so they can get to no the killer more and also get more involved in the film.
